WHEY PROTEIN

Whey protein is an acceptable protein source for lactose-intolerant people. Studies show whey protein is a top protein for quality, efficiency and digestibility, naturally rich in branched and essential amino acids, functional peptides, antioxidants and immunoglobulins. Whey protein studies show benefits against metabolic diseases (cancer, cardiovascular complications, hypertension, obesity, diabetes and phenylketonuria) and that it might render certain tumor cells more vulnerable to chemotherapy.

  1. Immune System Support: Whey protein contains immunoglobulins and lactoferrin, which can support the immune system. A strong immune system is essential for identifying and eliminating potentially cancerous cells, and whey protein isolate may help in this regard.

  2. High-Quality Protein: Whey protein isolate is a complete protein, meaning it provides all essential amino acids required for various bodily functions, including immune function and tissue repair. Maintaining a healthy protein intake can support overall health, indirectly contributing to cancer prevention.

  3. Muscle Maintenance and Weight Management: Adequate protein intake, including whey protein, can help maintain muscle mass and promote satiety, potentially aiding in weight management. Maintaining a healthy body weight is associated with a reduced risk of obesity-related cancers.

VITAL VITAMINS

In most cases, whey protein isolates are processed to remove most fats and lactose, resulting in a product with minimal amounts of vitamins. Since the whey protein manufacturing process focuses on isolating proteins, there are typically very few vitamins present in a 90% whey protein isolate product. However, some traces of water-soluble vitamins like B-complex vitamins (e.g., B12, B6, riboflavin) may still be found, albeit in small amounts.
