MATCHA

Matcha is a type of green tea that is exceptionally rich in antioxidants, particularly catechins like epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). These antioxidants have been studied for their potential anti-cancer properties, as they may help neutralize free radicals and inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

  1. High Antioxidant Content: Matcha is rich in antioxidants, particularly catechins, notably epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). These antioxidants help neutralize harmful free radicals in the body, reducing oxidative stress and the risk of cellular damage that can lead to cancer development.

  2. Anti-Inflammatory Properties: Matcha contains bioactive compounds that have demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects. Chronic inflammation is associated with an increased risk of cancer, and matcha's anti-inflammatory properties may help mitigate this risk.

  3. Potential for Inhibiting Cancer Cell Growth: Laboratory and animal studies have suggested that the bioactive compounds in matcha, particularly EGCG, may inhibit the growth and spread of cancer cells. These compounds may disrupt key processes in cancer cell development.

Research: Obviously, food choices and diet are critical to a healthy everyday life, and even more so when fighting cancer at any stage. Now, after a decade of cancer-specific nutrition research and our own FightBack Foods® products development, we are more convinced than ever that intentional nutrition is imperative for any cancer battle. Importantly, our research over the past decade drove us to appreciate more than ever that naturally occurring nutrients found in a variety of foods, can greatly assist in the battle against cancer.

Thus, we have attached primarily PUBMED sourced information about each ingredient used in our first product - FightBack Foods® Bites, and some of the relevant research that rationalizes each one’s use in our products. Even if you don’t buy our bites, please see the many benefits associated with each ingredient we use, and perhaps find some way to incorporate them into a daily diet with relevant nutrients necessary  to assist in anyone’s fight against cancer.

PUBMED: PubMed is a free search engine accessing primarily the MEDLINE database of references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics. The United States National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health maintains the database as part of the Entrez system of information retrieval. (As defined by Wikipedia)
