BRAZIL NUTS

Brazil nuts are a rich source of selenium, a trace mineral that plays a crucial role in antioxidant defense mechanisms. Selenium helps protect cells from oxidative damage, reducing the risk of cancer development. However, it's important to consume Brazil nuts in moderation, as excessive selenium intake can have adverse effects on health.

  1. Selenium Content: Brazil nuts are exceptionally high in selenium, a trace mineral that plays a crucial role in antioxidant defense mechanisms. Selenium is incorporated into enzymes that help protect cells from oxidative damage, which can contribute to cancer development. Adequate selenium intake may help reduce the risk of certain cancers, such as prostate cancer.

  2. Antioxidant Properties: In addition to selenium, Brazil nuts contain other antioxidants like vitamin E. These antioxidants help neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress, which is linked to cancer development.

  3. Nutrient Density: Brazil nuts are a nutrient-dense food, providing not only selenium but also healthy fats, protein, and fiber. A balanced diet that includes nutrient-rich foods supports overall health and may contribute to a lower risk of chronic diseases, including cancer.

VITAL VITAMINS

E and several B complex vitamins like B1 (Thiamin), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B5 (Pantothenic Acid), B6 (Pyridoxine), and B9 (Folate)
